1、USEOFPARKSORDINANCESA.CONTROLORDINANCE14-6-5PWHEREAS,theSchaumburgParkDistrict,CookCounty,Illinois(the“District),haspreviouslyadoptedandperiodicallyupdatedrulesandregulationsforthegovernanceoftheparksandfacilitiesoftheDistrict;andWHEREAS,theDistricthaspreviouslyadoptedanintegr
2、atedGeneralUseOrdinanceaddressingbothpublicuseandoperationalregulations;andWHEREAS,inordertoprovidemoreuser-friendlyregulations,thegeneraluseregulationsshallbeseparateandapartfromallotherordinancesandregulations;andWHEREAS,theDistrictisauthorizedbytheParkDistrictCodetoadoptaGe
3、neralUseOrdinancefortheregulationofDistrictProperty.NOW,THEREFORE,BEITORDAINEDbytheBoardofParkCommissionersoftheSchaumburgParkDistrict,CookCounty,Illinois,asfollows:PREAMBLEANDGENERALPURPOSETheparks,sportsfields,pools,land,buildings,andotherfacilitiesandequipmentowned,leased,o
4、perated,and/ormanagedbytheSchaumburgParkDistrict(the“ParkFacilities”)areheldintrustbytheParkDistrictfortheuseandenjoymentofalloftheParkDistrict’sresidentsandotherpatrons.Someparkareas,buildings,andfacilitiessuchasdesignatedplayfields,courts,andthelikeareintendedforusebyindivid
5、ualsorsmallgroups.MostoftheParkFacilities,however,areintendedandheldfortheuseofthepublicgenerallyandnotforprivateuseorcommercialuse.TheParkDistrictdoesprovideforuseofcertainoftheParkFacilitiesunderlimitedandtightlyregulatedcircumstances.Atthesametime,itistheParkDistrict’spolic
6、ynottoauthorizeorallowuseofparksbyprivatepersonsororganizationsforanyassemblyoreventthatwouldsubstantiallyinterferewithorpreemptthegeneralpublicuseoftheParkFacilitiesorthatwoulddisturbordisruptthegeneraluseoftheparksortheirneighbors.TheParkDistrictiscommittedtoprovidingquality
7、recreationalopportunitiesforallpersonregardlessofage,sex,sexualorientation,race,creed,socialoreconomicstatus,orspecialability.1CHAPTER1:GENERALPROVISIONSSection1.1Applicability,DesignationandCitationtothisOrdinance.TherulesandregulationssetforthinthisOrdinanceshallapplytoallus
