3、afueladditives.Theotherapproachutilizeslowexcessairoperatingconditionswhichproducehighermelting,lowervalencestatevanadiumcompoundsandlessSO3whichreucessulfateintheslag.Inearlierstudiespresentedinthisseriesofpapersq,wehaveexaminedmagnesium,silicon,aluminum,andcombin

4、ationsoftheseelementsasadditivsManyelementshavebeentriedasadditiveswithvaryingdegreesofsuccess5-6.Thedifficultyinobtainingsufficientdatatothoroughlyevaluateanadditivepartiallyexplainsthepaucityofinformationoncombinationsystems.Ourelectrochemicalapproachtomeasuringc

5、orrosionratescoupledwiththestepwiselinearregressionanalysisofthedatahelpsfillthisgapandoffersarapidbutthoroughscreeningofanadditivesystem.Thetechnologyinthisarea,particularlyforgasturbines,hasbeentowarduseoflowerqualityfuelsandhighertemperaturesforbetterefficiency.
