4、tmostofthemainhygrothermaleffectsinbuildings.ThecoupledsystemmodelwasHeatandmoisturetransferimplementedinMATLAB-Simulink,andvalidatedbyusingaseriesofpublishedtestingtools.ThenewSimulationBuildingenergyprogramwasappliedtoinvestigatethemoisturetransfereffectonindoorairhumidityandbuil

5、dingenergyconsumptionunderdifferentclimates.Theresultsshowthattheuseofmoredetailedsimulationroutinescanresultinimprovementstothebuilding'sdesignforenergyoptimisationthroughthechoiceofproperhygroscopicmaterials,whichwouldnotbeindicatedbysimplercalculationtechniques.©2008ElsevierB.V.
