3、andtheexciton(discretesingle-particleinterbandexcitation)aretreatedonthesamefooting.Ourquantumtheoryshowsthatthequantuminterferenceduetotheplasmon-excitoninteractionleadstothenonlinearFanoeffectdescribedbyageneralizedcomplexfield-tunableFanofactorforthesystemswithstrongexternalfieldandde

4、phasing.Weestablishtherelationbetweenquantumandsemiclassicaltheoriesandshowthattheresultsofthequantumandsemiclassicaltheoriesdifferbothqualitativelyandquantitativelyinthestronglynonlinearregime—inparticular,thequantumtheorypredictstheabsenceofnonlinearinstabilityinthehybridsystemswithp
