2、oginscreens,smartfirearmsandevenconsumerproductsliketheiPhone.Currentgenerationsystemsgenerallyusestaticbiometricfeaturessuchasfingerprints,irisscansandfacialrecognition,eithermeasureddirectlyormediatedthroughadevicesuchasasmartphone.We’reonthecuspofarevolutionth
3、atwillusherindynamic(e.g.,gestural,heartrhythm,gaitanalysis)andchemical(e.g.,DNA,bodyodor,perspiration)biometrics.TherewillalsobehybridtechnologiessuchastheNokia’svibratingmagneticinktattoos(USPatent8,766,784)andthepasswordpillfromProteusDigitalHealth.Biometricsw
4、illalsoplayanincreasinglysignificantroleasoneofthefactorsinmulti-factorauthentication.TheauthorcreatedoneofthefirsttypingrhythmrecognitionalgorithmsandoneoftheearliestDNAsequencingmachinesinthe1980sandhasalongtermperspectiveonthissubject.Likeallnewtechnologies,ad
