3、ERIAe-mail:chakeraa@yahoo.frReceived:12.04.2010AbstractThispaperinvestigatesthecontrolofaunifiedpowerflowcontroller(UPFC)toimprovethestabilityofapowersystem,henceprovidingsecurityunderincreasedpowerflowconditions.Theproposedcontrolmethodsincludeadirectproportionalandintegral(PI)controlleranda
4、nadaptivefuzzylogiccontroller(AFLC).TheperformancesofthesecontrollerswereevaluatedunderdifferentoperatingconditionsofthepowersystemandtheresultsdemonstratedthatPIandAFLCareveryeffectiveinimprovingthetransientpowersystemstabilityandveryrobustagainstvariabletransmissionlineparameters.KeyWords:
