2、lsofLading,signedatBrusselson25thAugust1924,HAVEAGREEDasfollows:Article1(1)InArticle3,paragraph4,shallbeadded:"However,prooftothecontraryshallnotbeadmissiblewhentheBillofLadinghasbeentransferredtoathirdpartyactingingoodfaith".(2)InArticle3,paragraph6,sub-paragraph4shallbedeleteda
3、ndreplacedby:"Subjecttoparagraph6bisthecarrierandtheshipshallinanyeventbedischargedfromallliabilitywhatsoeverinrespectofthegoods,unlesssuitisbroughtwithinoneyearoftheirdeliveryorofthedatewhentheyshouldhavebeendelivered.Thisperiodmay,however,beextendedifthepartiessoagreeaftertheca
4、useofactionhasarisen".(3)InArticle3,afterparagraph6,shallbeaddedthefollowingparagraph6bis:"AnactionforindemnityagainstathirdpersonmaybebroughtevenaftertheexpirationoftheyearprovidedforintheprecedingparagraphifbroughtwithinthetimeallowedbythelawoftheCourtseizedofthecase.However,th
5、etimeallowedshallbenotlessthanthreemonths,commencingfromthedaywhenthepersonbringingsuchactionforindemnityhassettledtheclaimorhasbeenservedwithprocessintheactionagainsthimself".Article2Article4,paragraph5,shallbedeletedandreplacedbythefollowing:"(a)Unlessthenatureandvalueofsuchgoo
6、dshavebeendeclaredbytheshipperbeforeshipmentandinsertedintheBillofLading,neitherthecarriernortheshipshallinanyeventbeorbecomeliableforanylossordamagetoorinconnectionwiththegoodsinanamountexceedingtheequivalentof10,000francsperpackageorunitor30francsperkiloofgrossweightofthegoodsl
