2、rsity,Beijing100084,ChinaReceivedNovember14,2003Weproposeanovelbroadbandpolarizingbeamsplitterwithacompactsandwichstructurethathasasub-wavelengthgratinginthequasi-staticdomainasthefilling.Thedesignisbasedoneffective-mediumtheoryananisotropicthin-filmtheory,andtheperformanceisinvestigatedwithrigorous
