3、.Provocatively,Apuleius’sancientfairytale“CupidandPsyche”islocatedinhousesthatbelongtoAphrodite,thegoddessoflove,andherdesirableson,Eros.1Furthermore,Apuleius’stextitselffunctionsasbothagothicnarrative(perhapstheoriginalgothictext)andaprototypeforthecontemporaryfairytale.Carter’smeta
