4、useofscorestheygenerateandfeasibilityofuseinroutinecaresettings.Method—Asystematicliteraturesearchidentifiedarticlespublishedbetween1980±2008reportingstudiesofevidence-basedpsychosocialtreatmentsforchildoradultmentalhealthproblems,andincludingmentionofad

5、herenceorfidelityassessment.Codersabstracteddataonthemeasurementmethodsandclinicalcontextsoftheiruse.Results—341articleswerereviewedinwhich249uniqueadherencemeasurementmethodswereidentified.Thesemethodsassessedmanytreatmentmodels,althoughmorethanhalf(59%

6、)assessedCognitiveBehavioralTreatments.Themeasurementmethodswereusedinstudieswithdiverseclienteleandclinicians.Themajority(71.5%)ofmethodswereobservational.Informationaboutpsychometricpropertieswasreportedfor35%ofthemeasurementmethods,butadherence-outcom

7、esrelationshipswerereportedforonlytenpercent.Approximatelyonethirdofthemeasureswereusedincommunity-basedsettings.Conclusions—Manyadherencemeasurementmethodshavebeenusedintreatmentresearch;however,littlereliabilityandvalidityevidenceexistsfortheuseofthese

8、methods.Thatsomemethodswereusedinroutinecaresettingssuggeststhefeasibilityoftheiruseinpractice;however,informationabouttheoperationaldetailsofmeasurement,scoring,andreportingissorelyneededtoinformandevaluatestrategiestoemb
