3、latedfundusexamwassignificantforophthalmicarteryocclusion.Imagingrevealedrighteyeextraocularmuscleischemiaandopticnerveinfarction,alongwithrightfrontal,parietal,andoccipitallobeinfarction.Work-upforthromboembolicandvascularetiologieswerenegative.Toourknowl

6、auseaandeyepain.Onedayprior,thepatientunderwentanautologousplatelet-richplasma(APRP)injectionprocedurebyanunlicensedpractitionertoreducewrinklesintheglabellarregionbilaterally.Shereportedthatbloodwastakenfromherantecubitalregionbyvenouspunctureandcentrifug
7、edtoobtainconcentratedautologousplasma.Bilateralforeheadrhytidsinjectionswereperformed.Thepatientwasunawarethedetailsoftheplasmapreparationandthesizeofneedlethatwasusedforinjections.Shetoleratedthefirstinjectionontheleftsidewell.However,duringthesecondinje
8、ctionatthenasalendofrighteyebrow,shefelttheneedlepenetrateslightlydeeper,accompaniedbysuddenpainandfullnessbehindherrighteyewithimmediatevisuallossoverthenextfewminutes.Shethennotedtransientimprovementofvisio
