2、earchquestionsthatariseinthestudyofthepoliticaleconomyofpublicfinanceandofpublicpolicygenerally.Microeconomicsandanalyticalpoliticaltheoryarecombinedinthesearchforamorecomprehensivevisionoftheeconomicandpoliticalforcesunderlyingthestructureandevolutionofthepublicsectorandtheconsequencesofpo

3、liticalinstitutionsfortheallocationanddistributionofresources.Topicscoveredincludeselectedaspectsofpublicgoodsandexternalities,thefree-riderproblemandcollectiveaction,theoperationofcollectivechoicemechanismssuchaspuremajorityrule,therelationshipbetweentheinstitutionsofrepresentativedemocrac

4、yandeconomicwelfare,themodellingofpoliticalcompetition,specialinterestpolitics,timeconsistency,intergenerationalconflict,andtheefficiencyofdemocracy.Someattentionispaidtothehistoricalevolutionofideasabouttheseissues.Requirements:Therewillbeoneexam(50%)andaproject(50%).Setsofquestionswillbeh
