3、agefromasetofimageshavingdifferentcharac-teristicsandprovidingcomplementaryinformation.Becauseoftheapplication,thisworkmainlyfocusesonmultisensorimagefusion,andmostoftheexperi-mentalresultsareprovidedonnearandfarinfrareddata.Themainpurposeofthisthesisistoexploretherelevancyofus

4、ingwavelet-basedalgorithmsforperforminganimagefusiontask.Inthefirstchapter,wedealwiththeregistra-tionproblem,whichis,mostofthetime,arequiredpreprocessingtask.Inthesecondchapter,webrieflyintroducethewavelettheory.Thethirdandfourthchaptersarethendevotedtoimagefusion:thethirdchapte
