4、-MechanicalEngineering,concentratingfeaturetotheminimumthicknessastheonlyfittingvariable,generalizedXidianUniversity,equationsforboththebendingandtensionstressconcentrationfactorswereobtainedforXi’an,Shaanxi710071,Chinatwogeneralizedmodels,theconicmodeland

5、theelliptic-arc-filletmodel,throughfittingthefiniteelementresults.Theequationsareapplicabletocommonlyusedflexurehingesincludingcircular,elliptic,parabolic,hyperbolic,andvariouscorner-filletflexurehinges,withacceptableerrors.Theempiricalequationsaretractableande

6、asytobeemployedinthedesignandoptimizationofflexure-basedmechanisms.Thecasestudiesofthebridge-typedisplacementamplifiersdemonstratedtheeffectivenessofthegeneral-izedequationsforpredictingthemaximumstressesinflexure-basedmechanisms.[DOI:10.1115/1.4026265]1Intr
