4、tthistendencyisreversedwhenpeoplefaceanimportantcuetomating-relatedrisk:skewintheoperationalsexratio,ortheratioofmentowomeninthelocalenvironment.Countertothetypicalstrategyofchoicediversification,findingsfromfourstudiesdemonstratedthatthepresenceofromanticallyunfa
5、vorablesexratios(thosefeaturingmoresame-sexthanopposite-sexindividuals)ledheterosexualpeopletodiversifyfinancialresourceslessandinsteadconcentrateinvestmentinhigh-risk/high-returnoptionswhenmakinglottery,stock-pool,retirement-account,andresearch-fundingdecisions.T
