6、ifythecountriesandregionswherehungerisleaders,throughthefirstMillenniumDevelopmentGoal,adoptedagoalmostsevereandpersistent.Twenty-ninecountrieshavelevelsofhun-ofhalvingtheproportionofhungrypeoplebetween1990and2015,gerthatarealarmingorextremelyalarming.Amo
7、ngtheworld’sre-wearenowherenearmeetingthattarget.Thepercentageofunder-gions,SouthAsiaandSub-SaharanAfricacontinuetosufferfromthenourishedpeoplefellfrom20percentin1990–92to16percentinhighestlevelsofhunger.Itisimportanttorememberthattheseresults2004–06.Inre
8、centyears,however,thenumberofhungrypeoplehasrepresentextremesufferingformillionsofpeople.actuallybeenincreasing.In2009,ontheheelsofaglobalfoodpriceThe2010GHIalsohighlightsakeycomponentofhunger–crisisandinthemidstofworldwiderecession,thenumberofunder-early
9、childhoodundernutrition.Chapter3explainshowpoornutritionnourishedpeoplesurpassed1billion,althoughrecentestimatesbyamongchildrenyoungerthantheageoftwocanhavelifelongconse-theFoodandAgricultureOrganizationoftheUnitedNationssuggestquencesforhealth,productivi
