2、;accepted25October2012Withthehelpofcomplexityindices,wequantitativelystudiedmultifractals,frequencydis-tributions,andlinearandnonlinearcharacteristicsofgeochemicaldataforexplorationoftheDaijiazhuangPbZndeposit.Furthermore,wederivedproductivitydifferentiationmodelsofelementsfromthermodynamicsandself-
3、organizedcriticalityofmetallogenicsystems.Withrespecttofrequencydistributionsandmultifractals,onlyZninrocksandmostele-mentsexceptSbinsecondarymedia,whichhadbeenderivedmainlyfromweatheringandalluviation,exhibitnonlineardistributions.Therelationsofproductivitytoconcentrationsofmetallogenicelementsandp
4、aragenicelementsinrocksandthoseofelementsstronglyleachedinsecondarymediacanbeseenaslinearadditionofexponentialfunctionswithacharacteristicweakchaos.TherelationsofassociatedelementssuchasMo,Sb,andHginrocksandotherelementsinsecondarymediacanbeexpressedasanexponentialfunction,andtherelationsofone-phase
5、self-organizedgeologicalormetallogenicprocessescanberepresentedbyapowerfunction,eachrepresentingsecondarychaosorstrongchaos.Forsecondarymedia,explorationdataofmostelementsshouldbeprocessedusingnonlinearmathematicalmethodsorshouldbetransformedtolineardistributionsbeforeprocessingusinglinearmathematic
