3、iteconcreteandsteel,timber,masonryandaluminium;thisistoenableacommondateofwithdrawal(DOW)foralltherelevantpartsthatareneededforaparticulardesign.Theconflictingnationalstandardswillbewithdrawnattheendofthecoexistenceperiod,afteralltheENEurocodesofapackageareavailable

4、.FollowingpublicationoftheEN,thereisaperiodallowedfornationalcalibrationduringwhichtheNationalAnnexisissued,followedbyafurthercoexistenceperiodofamaximumthreeyears.DuringthecoexistenceperiodMemberStateswillbeencouragedtoadapttheirnationalprovisionstowithdrawconflict

5、ingnationalrulesbeforetheendofthecoexistentperiodinMarch2010.Attheendofthiscoexistenceperiod,thenationalstandard(s)willbewithdrawn.IntheUK,thefollowingcorrespondingnationalstandardispartiallysupersededbyBSEN1993-1-7:BS5400-3:2000,Steel,concreteandcompositebridges—Co

6、deofpracticefordesignofsteelbridgesandbasedonthistransitionperiod,thesestandardswillbewithdrawnatthelatestbyMarch2010.TheUKparticipationinitspreparationwasentrustedbyTechnicalCommitteeB/525,Buildingandcivilengineeringstructures,toSubcommitteeB/525/31,Structuraluseof

7、steel.Alistoforganizationsrepresentedonthissubcommitteecanbeobtainedonrequesttoitssecretary.WhereanormativepartofthisENallowsforachoicetobemadeatthenationallevel,therangeandpossiblechoicewillbegiveninthenormativetext,andanotewillqualifyitasaNationallyDeterminedParam

8、eter(NDP).NDPscanbeaspecificvalueforafactor,aspecificlevelorclass,aparticularmethodoraparticularapplicationruleifseveralareproposedintheEN
