2、tiontoproducesoundweldsingasmetalarcwelding.Inpreviouswork,areal-timevisualsystemhasbeendevelopedtomonitoronlinethedropletsizeandgeometry.Torealizefeedbackcontrolofmetaltransfer,thisstudyaddressesthedynamicprocessofdropletgrowthanddetachment.Thedropletissubjectedtogravitationalforce,elect

3、romagneticforce,plasmadragforceandsurfacetensionforce.Thegeometryofthedropletisdeterminedbytheseforcesthroughthestaticforcebalance.However,theforcesactingonthedropletcontinuouslychangeasthemeltingelectrodewirechangesthedropletgeometry.Becauseofthisinterdependencebetweenthedropletgeometrya

4、ndtheforces,themodelmustbesolveddy-namicallyanditeratively.Anumericalprogramhasbeendevelopedtoacquireitsdynamicnumericalsolution.Hence,thedynamicsofthemetaltransferprocesscanbeunderstoodandsimulated.Cur-rently,thismodelisbeingusedtosimulatetheclosed-loopcontrolledmetaltransferprocessusing
