3、(SEM),transmissionelectronmicroscopy(TEM),andenergydispersiveX-rayspectroscopy(EDS).Theresultsshowthatthemechanicalpropertiesofbothalloysareimprovedgreatlyduringtheinsitutensiletestbysoakingthesamplesinliquidnitrogenfor10min.Theultimatetensilestrength,yieldtensilestrengthandelongationofc

4、ryogenictreatedmagnesiumalloyaddedwithzirconiumormanganesearelargelyelevated.Andremarkablemicrostructurechangeisobservedinbothalloysbycryogenictreatment.Therearealargenumberoftwins,rod-like,tree-likeandchrysanthemum-likeprecipitatedphasesinthemicrostructuresandthefracturesurfacesexhibitt
