3、herehasbeenintroducedanumberofnewmixedfiniteelementspacesfortheapproximationofsecondorderellipticproblems[5-7].Thesenewmeth-odsareofthesametypeasthemethodsintheclassicalRaviart-Thomas-Nedelecfamilies[13,143,buttheydifferinthattheyaremoreaccurateforthesamecomputat
4、ionalcost.Oneofthereasonsfortheincreasedinterestinthisfieldisthesuccessofthesemethodsincertainapplications.Forsomeproblemsingeophysicsandsemiconductorphysicstheyhavebeenshowntobemoreefficientthanmoreconventional"displacementmethods";cf.[8,11,19]andthereferencesth
