3、ation.Highereducationattheundergraduatelevelincludestwo-andthree-yearjuniorcolleges(sometimesalsocalledshort-cyclecolleges,four-yearcolleges,anduniversitiesofferingprogramsinbothacademicandvocationalsubjects.Manycollegesanduniversitiesalsooffergraduateprogramsleadingtot
4、hemaster’sorPh.D.degree.Theadulteducationcategoryoverlapsallthreeoftheabovecategories.However,educationinchinaisfacingagreatchallenge.Comparedwiththewestadvancededucationsystem,theproblemofChineseeducationisobvious.Firstofall,oureducationconceptfocusontheresultbutnotthe
5、procedureoflearning;Weallstudyforscoresfromprimaryschooltocollege.Chinaadoptsthetest-orientededucationsystemwhichexertsitsemphasisonscores,andmakesoutdifferentlevelsbasedonmarksasyardstickforindividualstudent.Studentshaveoneexaminationafteranotherintheirschoollife.Nonet
6、heless,highscoresdon’tmeangoodability,whilecapablestudentsarecapableintheirownways.Buryinginexaminations,studentsmayhaverichtheoriesbutpoorpractices,blockingthemtosurvivalfromsocietyaftergraduation.Meanwhile,imaginationandcreationaremoreandmoreawayfromstudents.Secondly,
7、underoureducation,studentsshouldobeywhattheeducationdepartment,schools,teachersandeventextbookstellthem,whichisauthoritative.Theeducationdepartmenthascreatedaneducationstandardandeducationmodethattheycaneasilycontrolit.Andschoolsmakeregulationstorestrictstudents.besides
