3、hosereportedpreviously.Trendsinthepreferredlocalbondingenvironmentshavebeenanalyzedasafunctionofnitrogencontent.Foreachcomposition,severalstructureswithsimilarenergieswerefound,buttheyhaveverydifferentequilibriumvolumes;thestructureproducedduringsynthesiswi

4、llstronglydependonthepreparationconditions.Whenlowdensitiesarefavored,conjugatedplanar-ringstructureswithsp2hybridizedcarbonaremostlikelytobeformed.Thesestructuresaresimilartothosesuggestedaspotentialphotocatalyticmaterials.Athighpressures,thepreferredstruc

5、turescontainthree-coordinatenitrogenandsp3hybridizedcarbon,includingthe-InSstructure,whichwepredicttobethethermodynamicallypreferredstructureforCNunderpositivehydrostaticpressures.Thisstructurehasamoderatelyhighbulkmoduluswithalowerformationenergythan-C3N
