2、eispre-sented.Byparameterizedgesturewemeangesturesthatexhibitameaningfulvariation;oneexampleisapointgesturewheretheimportantparameteristhe%dimensionaldirection.OurapproachistoextendthestandardhiddenMarkovmodelmethodofgesturerecognitionbyincludingaglobalpara
3、metricvariationintheoutputprobabilitiesofthestatesoftheHMM.Usingalinearmodeltoderivethetheory,weformulateanexpectation-maximization(EM)methodfortrain-ingtheparametricHMM.Duringtesting,theparamet-ricHMMsimultaneouslyrecognizesthegestureandestimatesthequantif
