3、eriencemaywellbethethemeforthenextapproachestodesign,suchasaesthetic,affective,andludicgenerationofdiscourseaboutsoftwaredesign”[54,p.xi].thatemphasizeparticularqualitiesandcontextsofThegrowinginterestinexperienceinHCIhasbeenexperienceandparticularapproachestointerveninginaccompaniedbyari
4、chinterdisciplinarydiscourseinteractiveexperiencehavebecomefocal.Ontheother,aaddressingtopicssuchastheaestheticsofinteraction,varietyofapproachestounderstandingusersanduseraffectivecomputing,ludicengagement,enchantmentwithexperience,basedonnarrative,biography,androle-playtechnology,hedoni
5、csandsoon[12,24,30,32,40,52].Ithavebeendevelopedanddeployed.Thesedevelopmentshasalsoresultedinaplethoraofinterestingnewinteractivecanbeviewedintermsofoneoftheseminalcommitmentsdevices,researchmethods,anddesignprocesses[16,27,ofHCI,‘toknowtheuser’.Empathyhasbeenusedasa42]aswellasreflection
6、onthescopeandlimitsoftheorydefiningcharacteristicofdesigner-userrelationshipswhenandmethodologywithinHCI[6,9,13,23,37,55].Inthisdesignisconcernedwithuserexperience.Inthisarticle,wepaper,weexploretheimplicationsofthesedevelopmentsuse‘empathy’tohelppositionsomeemergingdesignandwithrespectto
7、therelationshipbetweendesigneranduser,user-experiencemethodologiesintermsofdynamicallyandinparticularwhatitmightmeaninthecontextofshiftingrelationshipsbetweendesigners,users,andexperience-centreddesignto‘knowtheuser’.Weusetheartefacts.term'designer'hereandthroughout
