3、imulationsforvariouswallheatfluxesandinletvelocitiesarecarriedout.Theslurryconsistsofmicroencapsulatedoctadecane(C18H38)andwater.Theheattransfercoefficientoftheporouschannelwithpurewaterandwithmicro-encapsulatedphasechangematerialarecalculatedandcompared.Theeffectofporosityandpermeabi
4、lityoftheporousmediumontheheattransfercoefficientwhileusingslurryofphasechangematerialarestudied.Theresultsshowthattheheattransfercoefficientoftheporouschannelcanimprovebyintroducingphasechangematerialslurry,butonlyundercertainheatfluxes,inletvelocities,andporousmediaproperties.Keywor

6、lshasattractedattentionforenhancingtheheattransferrate.Encapsulatedphase-changematerialsareattractiveduetotheirhighenergystoragedensityandsmalltemperaturevariationduringtheheattransfer.Therearevariousphase-changematerials,e.g.paraffin,fibers,foamsandcompositeswhicharedevelopedtoenhanc
7、ethermalefficiencyascoolants,whenusedinconjunctionwithotherfluids[14].Forcedconvectiveheattransferenhancementwithmicro-encapsulatedphasechangematerial(MCPCM)slurrieshavebeeninvestigatedexperimentallyandnumerically[511].ThesestudiesshowthattheheattransfercoefficientsmeasuredforMCPCMslu
