3、eflowthroughporousmedia,andtheassociatedtransportprocesses.Afullgeneralmodelforthemomentumequationwasemployed.Themathematicalmodelforenergytransportwasbasedonthetwo-phaseequationmodelwhichassumesnolocalthermalequilibriumbetweenthefluidandthesolidphases,Th
4、einvestigationaimedatacomprehensiveanalysisoftheinfluenceofavarietyofeffectssuchastheinertialeffects,boundaryeffects,porosityvariationeffects,thermaldispersioneffects,validityoflocalthermalequilibriumassumptionandtwodimensionalityeffectsonthetransportproc
5、essesinporousmedia.Theresultspresentedinthisworkprovidedetailedyetreadilyaccessibleerrormapsforassessingtheimportanceofvarioussimplifyingassumptionswhicharecommonlyusedbyresearchers.1.INTRODUCTIONboundaryinfluencestheporositydistributionofaporousmedium.Th
