3、y2011)Sincetitaniumnitrideappearsgoldenandhasahighconductivity,thepossibilitythatitcanbeusedinsurfaceplasmawaveapplicationsinamannersimilartogoldbutwithverystrongscratch-resistance,isofinterest.ThisworkconsidersthispossibilityusingtheKretschmannconfiguration,measuringtheangle-dependentreflectivityasw
4、ellasthewavelength-dependentreflectivity.BothsetsofresultsdemonstratetheexcitationofasurfaceplasmawaveattheTiN/airinterfacebyanincidentp-wave.ThethicknessofTiNthatmostefficientlycouplestheincidentp-wavetothesurfaceplasmawaveisaround35nm.Alloftheexperimentsareaccompaniedbycorrespondingnumericalsimulat
