2、gthingssharethesametruenature,whichisn’tapparentbecauseit’sshroudedbysensationanddelusion.Thosewhoturnfromdelusionbacktoreality,whomeditateonwalls,’theabsenceofselfandother,theonenessofmortalandsage,andwhoremainunmovedevenbyscripturesareincompleteandunspokenagreementwithreason.Withoutmoving,with
3、outeffort,theyenter,wesay,byreason.Toenterbypracticereferstofourall-inclusivepractices:Sufferinginjustice,adaptingtoconditions,seekingnothing,andpracticingtheDharma.First,sufferinginjustice.WhenthosewhosearchforthePathencounteradversity,theyshouldthinktothemselves,"InCountlessagesgoneby,I’veturn
4、edfromtheessentialtothetrivialandwanderedthroughallmannerofexistence,oftenangrywithoutcauseandguiltyofnumberlesstransgressions.Now,thoughIdonowrong,I’mpunishedbymypast.Neithergodsnormencanforeseewhenanevildeedwillbearitsfruit.Iacceptitwithanopenheartandwithoutcomplaintofinjustice.Thesutrassay"wh
5、enyoumeetwithadversitydon’tbeupsetbecauseitmakessense."Withsuchunderstandingyou’reinharmonywithreason.AndbysufferinginjusticeyouenterthePath.Second,adaptingtoconditions.Asmortals,we’reruledbyconditions,notbyourselves.Allthesufferingandjoyweexperiencedependonconditions.Ifweshouldbeblessedbysomegr
6、eatreward,suchasfameorfortune,it’sthefruitofaseedplantedbyusinthepast.Whenconditionschange,itends.WhydelightInItsexistence?Butwhilesuccessandfailuredependonconditions,themindneitherwaxesnorwanes.ThosewhoremainunmovedbythewindofjoysilentlyfollowthePath.Third,seekingnothing.Peopleofthisworldaredel
7、uded.They’realwayslongingforsomething-always,inaword,seeking.Butthewisewakeup.Theychoosereasonovercustom.Theyfixtheirmindsonthesublimeandlettheirbodieschangewiththeseasons.Allphenomenaareempty.Theycontainnothingworthdesiring
