5、er.Itisper-hapsinevitablethatthemoreambitiousthetask,themorein-adequatewillbetheperformance.Onasubjectascomprehensiveasthatofthisbook,thetaskofmakingitasgoodasoneiscapableofisnevercompletedwhileone'sfacultieslast.NodoubtIshallsoonfindthatIoughttohavesaidthisorthatbetterandthatI

6、havecommittederrorswhichIcouldmyselfhavecorrectedifIhadpersistedlongerinmyefforts.Respectforthereadercertainlydemandsthatonepresentatolerablyfinishedproduct.ButIdoubtwhetherthismeansthatoneoughttowaituntilonecannothopetoimproveitfurther.Atleastwheretheproblemsareofthekindonwhic
