2、ctBackground:Theprognosesofyoungbreastcancerpatientsarepoor.Thepurposeofthisstudyistoevaluatethedifferentcharacteristicsandprognosesamongdifferentsubtypesofyoungbreastcancerpatients.Methods:Thestudyincluded1360patients<40years-old(y)and3110patients40-
3、50ywithoperablebreastcancerinShanghaiCancerCenter,FudanUniversity.Thecharacteristics,overallsurvival(OS)anddisease-freesurvival(DFS)werecompared.Results:Themedianfollow-upwas54.1months.MoregradeIIItumorsandmorelymph-vascularinvasions(P<0.01)werepresen
4、tedin<40ygroupwhencomparedwith40-50ygroup.Morepatients<40ypresentedwithLuminalB(25.3%vs.17.5%,P<0.01)andtriplenegative(16.7%vs.13.4%,P<0.05)breastcancerwhilefewerhadLuminalAtumor(48.5%vs.59.2%,P<0.01).YoungerpatientswithtumorsofbothLuminalAandLuminalB
5、typeswereatincreasedriskforworseDFS(P=0.03,HR=1.69,95%CI=1.05-2.72;P<0.01,HR=3.61,95%CI=2.50-5.22)whencomparedwiththeolderpatients.Patients<40ywithLuminalBtumorhadatwopointfivefoldhigherriskofdeathcomparedwitholdercounterparts(P<0.01,HR=2.54,95%CI=1.3
6、5-4.79),however,aworseoverallsurvivalratewasnotobservedintheyoungerwomenwithLuminalAbreastcancer(P>0.05).Inmultivariateanalysis,LuminalBsubtypewasalsoastrongpredictorofdiseaserelapse(HR=1.09,95%CI=1.01to1.19,P<0.01)inyoungerpatientswithLuminalsubtypet
7、umors.Conclusion:CharacteristicsofbreastcancersuggestedamoreaggressivebiologyinChinesepatientswithbreastcancerdiagnosedatyoungage.LuminalBsubtypemayhaveanegativeeffectontheprognosisofyoungpatientsinChinawhichshouldbevalidatedfurther.Keywords:Breastcan
