4、-domain,polynomial-matrix-domainfrequentialandgeometricapproaches.1.IntroductionThiscontributionisdedicatedtopresentthemainapproachesandtheirmathematicalsupportofdevelopmentthecontrolsystemstheory.Theunderlyingideaisthat,atpresent,ControlTheoryisaninterdiscipli
5、naryareaofresearchwheremanymathematicalconceptsandmethodsworktogethertoproduceanimpressivebodyofimportantappliedmathematics.Controlsystemstheorywitnesseddifferentstagesandapproaches,whichwewillshortlydescribehere.Theideaistoproduceageneraloverviewconcerningtheb
6、asicsoftheseapproaches,theirorigins,historyandthewayapplicationsandinteractionswithmathematicsandtechnologieshasgeneratedthedevelopmentofthediscipline.ItisworthsayingthatalltheseapproachesofControlTheoryhavetheirownvalueandstillcontinuetorepresentimportantcontr
