1、BRIEFHazardCommunicationStandard:SafetyDataSheetsTheHazardCommunicationStandard(HCS)Sections1through8containgeneral(29CFR1910.1200(g)),revisedin2012,requiresinformationaboutthechemical,identification,thatthechemicalmanufacturer,distributor,hazards,composition,safehandlingpracti
2、ces,orimporterprovideSafetyDataSheetsandemergencycontrolmeasures(e.g.,fire(SDSs)(formerlyMSDSsorMaterialSafetyfighting).ThisinformationshouldbehelpfultoDataSheets)foreachhazardouschemicalthosethatneedtogettheinformationquickly.todownstreamuserstocommunicateSections9through11and
3、16containotherinformationonthesehazards.Theinformationtechnicalandscientificinformation,suchascontainedintheSDSislargelythesameasphysicalandchemicalproperties,stabilitytheMSDS,exceptnowtheSDSsarerequiredandreactivityinformation,toxicologicaltobepresentedinaconsistentuser-friend
4、ly,information,exposurecontrolinformation,16-sectionformat.Thisbriefprovidesguidanceandotherinformationincludingthedateoftohelpworkerswhohandlehazardouspreparationorlastrevision.TheSDSmustchemicalstobecomefamiliarwiththeformatalsostatethatnoapplicableinformationwasandunderstand
5、thecontentsoftheSDSs.foundwhenthepreparerdoesnotfindrelevantinformationforanyrequiredelement.TheSDSincludesinformationsuchasthepropertiesofeachchemical;thephysical,TheSDSmustalsocontainSections12health,andenvironmentalhealthhazards;through15,tobeconsistentwiththeUNprotectivemea
6、sures;andsafetyprecautionsGloballyHarmonizedSystemofClassificationforhandling,storing,andtransportingtheandLabelingofChemicals(GHS),butOSHAchemical.TheinformationcontainedintheSDSwillnotenforcethecontentofthesesectionsmustbeinEnglish(althoughitmaybeinotherbecausetheyconcernmatt
