4、videdtopassengers.Forexample,thestatisticsoftheparkingtimeofvacanttaxisontheroadsifapersondoesnotknowthatthereisanotherroadnear-andthenumberofthevacanttaxisleavingtheroadsinhis-bywithmorevacanttaxispassingby,he/shewouldspendtory,wecanestimatethewaitingtimeatdi
5、fferenttimesonmuchmoretimeonwaitingforataxiincurrentlocation.roadsegments.Wealsoproposeanapproachtomakerecom-Experiencedpassengerscouldchooseabetterroadtowaitmendationsforpotentialpassengersonwheretowaitforafortaxisbasedonhistoricalexperiences.Butmorepeopletaxi
6、basedonourestimatedwaitingtime.Thenweevaluatehavelittleknowledgeaboutlikehowlongtheywouldtakeourapproachthroughtheexperimentsonsimulatedpassen-towaitfortaxishereorwhereisbettertowaitfortaxis,gersandactualtrajectoriesof12,000taxisinBeijing.Theespeciallyinsomest
7、rangeplacesforthem,whichmayaffectresultsshowthatourestimationisrelativelyaccurateandthetheirtravelsandschedulesverymuch.couldberegardedasareliableupperboundofthewaitingtimeinprobability.Andourrecommendationisatrade-Inthispaper,weproposeamethodtoestimatethewaiti
8、ngoffbetweenthewaitingtimeandwalkingdistance,whichtimeforavacanttaxiatagiventimeandplace,andthenwouldbringpracticalassistancetopotentialpassengers.Inprovideanapproachtomakerecommend
