3、oise°oor.Thetheoreticalmodelfortelemetrydegradationduetoaspecularinterfererisveri¯edbyexperiment.I.IntroductionThetelemetryandrangingsignalsfromeitherthesamespacecraftordi®erentspacecraftmayinter-ferewitheachotheriftheirspectralcomponentsoverlapinfrequency.Forexample,whenthetelemetry
4、modulationsidebandsoverlayarangetone,theywillincreasethee®ectivenoise°ooroftherangemea-surement.Asasecondexample,theintermodulationproductsmayfallnearthetelemetrysubcarrierfrequencywithadetrimentale®ectontelemetry.Thisarticleoutlinesthetheoryneededtocheckforpossibleinterferenceproble
5、msofthiskind.Theemphasiswillbeontelemetry,ranging,andintermod-ulationproductsidebandsfromthesamecarrier,butmuchofthetheorywillalsobeapplicabletothecaseofmorethanonespacecraft.First,wede¯netelemetrysignal-to-noiseratio(SNR)degradationduetothepresenceofacontinuous-wave(CW)interferer.Th
