3、nblacksobtainedfromtyrepyrolysis(CBI,)wouldbeaninterestingcommercialapplicationforCBp.RecentworkshowedthatCBpimprovestherheologicalpropertiesofbitumen.ThisimprovementismostprobablyduetointeractionbetweenCBpandasphaltenes,themostpolarandheaviestbitumencomponent

4、s.InthepresentworkasphaltenesfromcommercialandpyrolyticbitumenandaCBp-bitumenmixturewereanalysedbyESCA,SIMSandi.r.spectroscopy.ItwasfoundthattheCBpsurfaceiscoveredwithanon-extractablelayerofbitumencompounds,especiallywitharomaticcompoundswithoutorwithasmallcon

5、centrationofalkylgroups.Asphaltenesfrompyrolyticoilhavefeweralkylgroupsthanasphaltenesfromcommercialoil.ThereforepyrolyticbitumenreinforcedwithCBpshouldbeanattractivematerialforroadconstruction.(Keywords:bitumen;carbonblack;tyrepyrolysis)Approximatelyoneusedty

6、reperpersonisproducedmolecular-weighthydrocarbons.Asphaltenesaredis-annuallyintheindustrializedworld.MostoftheseusedpersedinacontinuousphaseconsistingofamixturetyresaresimplydumpedonlandfillsitesorincineratedI.ofnaphthenearomatics24.AsphaltenesaredefinedasHowe

7、ver,theseformsofdisposalarenotenvironmen-beinginsolubleinn-pentaneorn-heptanebutsolubletallyacceptable.Onlandfillsites,usedtyresrepresentainaromaticsolventssuchasbenzeneandtolueneorinthreattotheenvironment,especiallyifignited,andbycarbondisulfideandchloroform.
