3、ionsaswellaschangesinthecatalyststakingplaceinsidetheNMRspectrometer.Theexperimentaltechniquesaresuitableformagic-anglespinning(MAS)NMRspectroscopyunderbatchreactionconditions,forexample,withasampleofcatalystpowderinasealedglassampouleoragas-tightMASNMRrotor,orunderflowcondit
4、ions,forexample,withthecatalystparticlesinanMASNMRrotorreactor.Theformertechniquehastheadvantageoflowcostandcommerciallyaccessibleequipment,andthelattertechniqueallowsmeasurementsundercondi-tionsclosetothoseofindustrialprocesses.Representativeapplicationsdescribedinthisrevie
5、wincludeinvestigationsofthefateofisotopiclabelsallowingtheindirectcharacterizationofthenatureoftransitionstatesandreactionpathwaysbyisotopescramblingandthedeterminationofactivationenergiesofthereactionsinthepathways.Otherexamplesincludeinvestigationsoforganicdeposits,surface
