3、bottom-founded)offshorestructuresofvarioustypes.ItalsoappliestosystemsinstalledonfloatinginstallationssuchasshipsshapebasedFPSOs,tensionlegplatforms,spars,semisubmersibles,etc.Therearedifferencesinthepracticesadoptedbythedesignersoffixedandfloatinginstallations.Someoft

4、hesedifferencesareduetophysicallimitationsinherentintheconstructionoffacilitiesonneworconvertedfloatinginstallations.Recognizingthesedifferences,therequirementsforfacilitiesonfixedandfloatinginstallationsarespecifiedinseparatechapters.Chapter3coversrequirementsforfacil

5、itiesonfloatinginstallationsandChapter4coversrequirementsforfacilitiesonfixedinstallations.Facilitiesdesigned,constructed,andinstalledinaccordancewiththerequirementsofthisGuideonandABSclassedfixedorfloatingoffshorestructure,underABSreviewandsurvey,willbeclassedandident

6、ifiedintheRecordbyanappropriateclassificationnotationasdefinedherein.TheGuidehasbeenwrittenforworld-wideapplicationandassuch,compliancewithindividualrequirementsmayrequirecomprehensivedata,analysesandplanstobesubmittedtodemonstratetheadequacyofthefacility.ABSacknowledg
