2、reasingqualityandmeetingtime-to-marketcontinuetoincrease.Becauseoftheserecentadvancesincomputerandothertechnologies,itisbecomingevidentthatasoundfoundationincomputersandcomputernetworkingiscriticalforsuccessinmanykindsofcomputer-basedworkToaddressthis,majorityoftheundergraduateprogramshavec

3、oursesinDigitalLogic,ComputerArchitecture,andComputerNetworkingwithDigitalLogicbeingthefirstcourseandprerequisiteforothercomputerhardwarecourses.Theobjectiveofthesecoursesaretoprovidethegraduateswithsolidfoundationincomputersandtheirapplicationstosolverealworldproblems.Aproblemforthesestude

4、ntsisthesolutionofproblemsintextbooksthroughtheuseofroutineproblemsolvingtechniquessuchasequationsandformulae.Butthestudents’overrelianceuponformulaeandroutineuseoftechniqueinproblemsolvingtoooftenleadtopoorperformanceinrealworldscenarios.Also,thestudents’lackofcomprehensionoflogicalandmath

5、ematicalconceptsresultsintimewastageduringlaboratoryexperiments,misinterpretationsoflabdataandunderachievementinstandardizedscienceandengineeringteststhatstressthefundamentals.Thisproblemcanbeeffectivelyaddressedbyimprovingthestudent’sconceptualunderstandingandcomprehensionofthetopicsthroug
