5、tionmethodforpowersystemreliabilityevaluationisproposed.Theproposedmethodprovidesreliabilityindexesanddistributionswhichcanbeusedforriskassessment.Severalsolutionmethodsfortheplanningproblemarealsoproposed.ThefirstmethodemployssensitivityanalysiswithMonte

6、Carlosimulation.Theprocedureissimpleyeteffectiveandcanbeusedasaguidelinetoquantifyeffectivenessofadditionalcapacity.Thesecondmethodappliesscenarioanalysiswithastate-spacedecompositionapproachcalledglobaldecomposition.Thealgorithmrequireslessmemoryusageand

7、convergeswithfewerstagesofdecomposition.Asystemreliabilityequationisderivedthatleadstothedevelopmentofthethirdmethodusingdynamicprogramming.Themaincontributionofthethirdmethodistheapproximationofreliabilityequation.Thefourthmethodisthestochasticprogrammin

8、gframework.Thismethodoffersmodelingflexibility.Theimplementationofthesolutiontechniquesispresentedanddiscussed.Finally,aprobabilisticmaintenancemodelofthetransformerisproposedwheremathematicalivequationsrelatingmain
