4、ndamentals.Althoughthebookisnotintendedtoreplaceatextbook,itssolvedproblems,withcompleteanddetailedsolutions,docovermostofthesubjectmatterofafirstcourseincollegechemistry.ThestudentisreferredtooneofthemanystandardGeneralChemistrytextbooksforsuchmattersasfulltreatmentofnomenc
5、lature,descriptivechemistryoftheelements,andmoreextensiveexpositionandillustrationofprinciples.Boththesolvedandthesupplementaryproblemsarearrangedtoallowaprogressionindifficultywithineachtopic.Severalimportantfeatureshavebeenintroducedintothesixthedition,notablythekineticthe
