5、hishasonthelanguageandinter-actionsofthefancommunity.Threedatasetshavebeenincorporatedintothisstudy,allowingforanalysisofthecentraldata,aswellasconsiderationoftheproductionandinvestigationofthereceptionofthediscoursecontainedwithin.Theseinclude63YouTubevid
6、eos,acorpusof217,916commentsonthesevideos,andaninterviewwithagamer.Whilethemajorityofthedis-cursivedataintheYouTubevideosfeaturesinteractionsbetweenheterosexualmales,theintroduc-tionofhomosocialmeaningandhomosexualinnuendointovideosgivesthe(largelyadolesce
7、nt,male)audienceauniqueopportunitytoencounter,interpret,andexperimentwithqueerdiscourse.Itisfoundthattheproductionofnonheteronormativediscoursesbyprominentgamersonlinehascontributedtotheformationofaself-policingfancommunitythatadvocatesacceptanceandrejects
