2、eters(i.e.theslabtemperature,rollspeed,rolltemperatureandtheratioofthemeanthicknesstothecontactlengthintherollgapHm/L)onthesubgrainsizeisstudiedbythecombinationoffiniteelementmethod(FEM)withtheTaguchiexperimentalmethod.TheFEMisfirstappliedtosimulatetwoexistingsinglepas
3、slaboratoryrollingschedules.Thepredicteddistributionofsubgrainsizethroughthethicknessagreeswellwithmeasurements.Then,theTaguchimethodisappliedtodesignanorthogonalexperimental4table,L9(3).Atotalof9virtualexperimentsareanalysedbytheuseofFEM.Thepredictedresultsarethenan
4、alysedbytheuseoftheTaguchimethodfromwhichtheinfluenceofeachrollingparameteronthedeformedsubgrainsizeisgivenandexpressedinpercentage.Thestudyshowsthatrollingtemperaturehasthegreatestinfluenceonthefinalsubgrainsize,followedbytheparameterHm/L.Therollspeedandrolltemperature
