3、potentialtocausedamageintheshortterm.Suchflow-inducedinstabilitiesarethesubjectofthisbook.Inparticular,theflow-inducedin-stabilitiestreatedinthisbookareassociatedwithcross-flow,thatis,flownormaltothelongaxisofthestructure,althoughthebookdoesnotaimtocovereverypossibl
