2、es’researchandapplicationontextileshasfirstlybeenoutlined．Thenthedyeingpropertiesofseveralyellowandgreenvegetabledyesforwoolknittingfabricshavebeenstudied．Andthemethodofenhancingthedyeingfastnesshasbeendiscussedtoo．Thethreepartsofthisexperimentalstudyareasfollows：Thefirstpartistostudyonthe

3、yellowvegetabledyes．Fouryellowvegetabledyes，SchizonepetaHerb、FlosSophorae、ChrysanthemumFlowerandSafflower,havebeenselected．Thispaperanalyzesthatmanyfactorsaffectthedyeingeffectonthewoolfabric．Thedirectdyeingandpre—mordantdyeingarecarriedoutforwoolfabric．Threefactors，dyeingconcentration，mor

4、dantconcentration，andPHvalue，areconditionedforchoosingthebestdyeingtechnology．Afteraseriesofexperiments，thedyeingtechnologyhasbeenoptimizedforeachplantaccordingtotheK／SandLvalues．Theresultsshowthatdyefastnessesofallfouryellowdyesarecomeuptothecountry’Sstandardandconfirmthatyellowdyesstudie

5、dhavegooddyeingabilityonthewoolfabric．Thesecondpartistostudyonthedyeingabilityofgreenvegetabledye“ceanothus”onthewoolfabric，basedonthetraceoftheceanothususeintheancienttime．Themainfactorsofdyeingtechnology,i．e．thedirectdyeing，pre—mordantdyeing，pHvalueandtemperaturehavebeenchanged．Therelati

6、onshipbetweenthemainfactorsofdyeingtechnologyandeffectofdyeingonwoolknittingfabricshasbeenreported．TheresultsshowthatthereiSnoobviousdifferenceofcolorduringdirectdyeingandFeorA1mordantdyeing．Andthecolorisdeepestwhenthedyeingtemperatureis98[3；thecoloroffabricisquitestablewhenthepHofdyeingba
