5、formXORandXNORoperationshasbeenproposed.Thesetwooperationsareevaluatedastheopticalsignalisdirectedalongthecircuit,andtheresultsappearatsomespecificoutputportsofthecircuit.Apotentialadvantageofthisnewlogicalparadigmisthatithasmarkedlylessstatedelaythantraditionallogiccircuits.Devicesbasedontheab
6、oveproposalarefabricatedonan8-inchsilicon-on-insulatorwafer.Themicroringresonatorsinthecircuitaremodulatedthroughthermo-opticeffect.Twoelectricalmodulatingsignalsappliedtothemicroringresonatorsrepresentthetwooperandsofthelogicaloperationrespectively.BitwiseXORandXNORoperationsat20kbit/saredemon
