3、earchExpedition(NARE)2000/2001.Inthispaper,wedescribetheanalysesformethylchlorideandnonmethanehydrocarbons(NMHCs)inthesefirnairsamples.Forthefirsttime,theNMHCsethane,propane,andacetylenehavebeenmeasuredinAntarcticfirnair,andconcentrationprofilesforthesegaseshav
4、ebeenderived.Aone-dimensionalnumericalfirnairdiffusionmodelwasusedtointerpretthemeasuredprofilesandtoderiveatmosphericconcentrationsasafunctionoftime.TheatmospherictrendswederivedfortheNMHCandmethylchlorideatDMLcovertheperiodfrom1975to2000.Methylchlorideshowsad
5、ecreasingtrendof1.2±0.6pptperyear(annualmeanconcentration548±32ppt).Forethanewefoundanincreasingtrendof1.6±0.6pptperyear(annualmeanconcentration241±12ppt).Theconcentrationsofpropaneandacetyleneappeartobeconstantovertheperiod1975–2000,withannualmeanconcentration
