4、m,providedtheoriginalauthorandsourcearecredited.AbstractIntroduction:Antibioticsarecommonlyassociatedwithhypersensitivityreactions.Thesecanbeexpressedthroughclinicalmanifestationsthatrangefrommildsymptomstoseverelife-threatingreactions.Nevertheless,theseareoftenmistakenwithadversee
5、vents.Incorrectlabelingoffapatientasallergic,leadstoincreaseincostsandmorbidityinthehealthcaresetting.Objectives:Reviewcurrentlyavailableinformationonevaluation,diagnosisandtreatmentofallergicantibioticreactions.Methods:AsearchwasconductedinthePubMed,filteringresultstoarticlespubli
6、shedinthelasttenyears,inEnglish,inadultsandwithfulltextsavailable.Outoftheeighthundredandtwenty-sixresults,seventy-threewereselected.Results:Diagnosisofallergiceventsrequiresadetailedanamnesis.Confirmationofthediagnosisisinfluencedbytheclinicalfeaturesandthetypeofreaction,immediate
7、ornonimmediate.Thefirstcanbeevaluatedwithskintestsanddrugprovocationtests.Thelatterarestudiedwithdelayed-readingskintestsanddrugprovocationtests.Managementofthesepatientsshouldfollowavoidanceandapplicationofanalternativetolerateddrug.However,ifthedruginquestionisindispensableforthe
