1、寒假新东方GRE作文笔记Argument部分一,基本的动词短语的运用.王丹丹先把目前大多数学生的英文写作水平分为四个等级,以一下一句话的四种情况为例.句子大意:世界上有很多人很贫穷,饥饿.Levelone:Lotsofpeoplearehungerandpoorintheworld.Leveltwo:Lotsofpeoplearehungryandpoorintheword.Levelthree:Thereareagreatdealofpeoplesufferingfromhungerandpovertyintheworld
2、.Levelfour:长句,具体再举例子综上,levelone的句子出现了语法错误,而leveltwo的句子虽然没有语法错误,但是用的全部是初中水平的动词.Levelthree的句子用了一个agreatdealof代替了lotsof以及sufferfrom代替了be+adj.目前我们的水平大部分处于leveltwo的句子,所以先把leveltwo的句子提高到levelthree的句子,再升级到levelfour的句子就容易多了.而做好这项工作,最基本的是动词短语的搜集.例如,导致:leadto;cause;giverise/
3、birthto;bringabout;trigger;contributeto就…而言:inthetermsof;whenitcomesto;asfor/to;asfaras…beconcerned对…感兴趣:exhibite/exertahighlevelofinterest/concernin/about/with对…造成影响:exertahostofinfluence/impacton;influence/impactconsiderably/dramatically/immensely/tremendously/su
4、bstantially/noticeablyon对…有害:exertagreatdealofnegative/detrimental/porniciousinfluence/impactonPoseathreatto;constituteamenaceto忽略;没有留意到:ignore;overlook;disregard…;withnoregardof;regardlessof;beunaware/unconsciousofdoingsth.等等,以后看文章或者题目的时候,发现好的动词短语,加以搜集,写在一个本子上面,到i
5、ssue那里找文章,看看可以创造出什么句子和文章主题符合,用上这些短语,记住,一定要做…二,argument常见逻辑错误1,survey/study/research只要在题目中看到以上的词汇,即可质疑该题目的survey.一般可以质疑一下几点A,samplesize:质疑其是否能够代表整个调查的目标,可以用的动词,短语:represent;farfromsufficient;B,selectionprocedure:random;excludeC,surveydesign:mislead;leadsb.astray;dec
