3、dsororitiesgenerallyconsistoftwoorthreeGreekletters,oftentheinitialsofaGreekmotto,whichmaybesecret,suchasAlphaKappaPsi（ΑΚΨ）,LambdaPhiEpsilon（ΛΦΕ）,PiBetaSigma（ΠΒΣ）.SopeoplealsocallthemGreekLetterOrganizationandthelifeinGreekLetterOrganizationiscalledGreeklife.Typica
4、lly,Greekletterorganizationsaresingle-sex,initiatoryorganizationswithmembershipconsideredactiveduringtheundergraduateyearsonly,whilemalestudentsjointhefraternities,femalestudentscanjointhesororities.Theperiodwheneveryfraternityorsororityrecruitsnewmemberiscalled“ru
5、shweek”,whichusuallyconsistsofeventsandactivitiesdesignedformembersandpotentialmemberstolearnabouteachotherandtheorganization.Afterthat,thecandidateswillbegivenaseriesoftaskstotesttheirloyalty.Thesetasksareoftenembarrassing,suchasstealingunderwears,nakedrunningorwe
6、aringdirtyclothesforaweek.Attheendoftheformalrecruitmentperiod,organizationsgive"bids",orinvitationstomembership.Mostorganizationshaveaperiodof"pledgeship"beforeextendingfullmembership.Anotherwaytojoinafraternityorasororityisfamilylagacy.Itmeansifyourmotherorfather
